About the Symyrenko Family Estate Museum
The museum is located on the grounds of the Pomology Institute (the science of fruit and fruit trees) in a single-story building where scientist Levko Symyrenko lived and worked. The Symyrenko family, a wealthy and influential dynasty of the 19th century, were entrepreneurs, engineers, philanthropists, and patriots.
The museum’s exhibition, which traces the family’s history since 1649, is housed in 11 halls of a memorial building from 1850, originally constructed for the administration of the „Yakhnenko and Symyrenko Brothers“ company.
