The building on Nadpilna Street in Cherkasy is a unique monument of industrial architecture from the late 19th century. Constructed in 1887 in the eclectic style, the main structure originally featured two- and three-storey sections and is distinguished by its decorative brickwork. Until 1923, it housed a state wine warehouse, one of many established during the so-called „wine monopoly“, which was introduced across the empire at the turn of the century.

The building has preserved many authentic elements: ceramic floor tiles marked „Herenheim Company, Kharkiv“, wrought-iron tanks in the basements, as well as fragments of the original sewage and ventilation systems. Today, this building is an important part of the historical and architectural heritage of Cherkasy; it is now one of the buildings of the Cherkasy Polytechnic Vocational College.
