St. Andrew the First‑Called Church is located in the Mytnytsia neighborhood, on the bank of the Dnipro River. It was built approximately between 2002 and 2005. The architect of the church was Metropolitan Sofroniy (Dmytro Savovych Dmytruk) of Cherkasy and Kaniv.

In 2025, the parish of St. Andrew the First‑Called Church joined the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. The first liturgy in Ukrainian after the transition was held on May 29 at 9:00, led by Metropolitan Ioan of Cherkasy and Chyhyryn.
