The Rohivska Brick Tavern is a unique architectural monument of the 18th century, built in the second half of the 1700s along the historic Chumak trade route to Crimea. For more than a hundred years, it served as a resting place and shelter for Chumaks who transported salt and goods. The building’s layout resembles the traditional „house divided into two halves“: one part was reserved for the owner, while the other accommodated travelers. A vaulted cellar and remnants of an underground passage have survived, adding even greater historical value to the site. Constructed from high-quality brick and stone, the tavern exhibits distinct features of vernacular architecture with elements of Baroque.

It is considered the only surviving Chumak tavern in Ukraine. In 1979, the building was recognized as a monument of national architectural significance. However, for many years its condition remained precarious, and only in 2023 was it officially included in the State Register of Immovable Monuments of Ukraine. Today, the Rohivska Tavern stands as an important testament to the history of Chumak trade and a remarkable architectural landmark of the Uman region.
