The Potash Railway Station is a unique architectural landmark and one of the best‑preserved late‑19th‑century stations. Opened on June 27 (June 15, Old Style) 1891 on the Khrystynivka – Shpola line, it became an important hub for local infrastructure development. The complex combines one‑, two‑ and three‑storey volumes with waiting halls, ticket offices, administrative rooms, and housing for railway workers; an original brick water tower and warehouses have also survived.

Thanks to its well‑preserved historical appearance that closely matches the era depicted in Vasyl Shkliar’s novel „Black Raven“, one of the film’s episodes was shot here – a moment of pride for the local community. The early‑20th‑century growth of the settlement is also tied to the station, as land plots for railway employees’ housing helped shape today’s layout.
