The first charitable monument in Ukraine, dedicated to helping stray cats. The sculpture was created by Cherkasy sculptor Vladyslav Dymion. This park sculpture has a built-in donation safe where kind-hearted people can contribute to the needs of homeless animals. According to the organizers’ idea, after making a donation, visitors should pet the cat – on its belly, ear, and whiskers – and make a wish. Animal welfare volunteers believe that if the wish is sincere and kind, it will surely come true.

They also say that when the cat becomes shiny from frequent petting, it will be a sign that kindness has truly settled in Cherkasy. Generous Cat has quickly become a favorite spot for both locals and visitors who want to make a wish and do a good deed.
