About Dzenzelivka Local History Museum
The museum was founded in 1989 by a local enthusiast and researcher, Yuriy Dudnyk. He remains the museum’s director and sole employee to this day. For years, Yuriy collected exhibits from all corners of his native village and district. In 2006, he succeeded in obtaining district museum status, which is a unique case for a rural museum. Today, the museum continues its fruitful work and organizes the unique annual event „Dzenzelivka Classical Music Evenings“.
The museum has become a center of cultural and creative life for the entire village. It houses nearly 4,000 exhibits that represent the region’s history from ancient times to the present, as well as the traditions and culture of Mankivshchyna, including Dzenzelivka. A distinctive feature of the museum is its location in a former Higher School building, constructed in 1912.
