The Church of Saints Equal-to-the-Apostles Cyril and Methodius is one of the youngest yet most recognizable spiritual landmarks of Cherkasy. It is located right in the city center, in front of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi National University of Cherkasy. Over the years, it has become not only a sanctuary for students and professors but also a favorite place for the city’s residents and visitors.

Construction of the church began in the early 2000s with the support of the university and local parishioners, and in 2004 it was solemnly consecrated. The architecture combines traditional Orthodox features with modern interpretations, while its golden domes gleam over Shevchenko Boulevard, symbolizing the light of faith and knowledge.
