Maiden Rock is a local geological natural monument located on the Tiasmyn River in the city of Kamianka. This small rocky islet, about 5 meters high, marks the beginning of the Tiasmyn Canyon – a unique natural formation carved into Proterozoic granite over 2 billion years old.

The name Maiden Rock is tied to local legends. According to the most well-known tale, young women fleeing from invaders chose to leap from the rock into the river rather than be taken captive. This story has become an integral part of Kamianka’s cultural identity and reinforces the rock’s symbolic value as a monument to dignity and resilience.
