The water tower in Potash village, Uman District, is an architectural structure built in 1891. It was constructed in connection with the opening of the Khrystynivka–Shpola railway line and served as a water supply facility for steam locomotives. The tower functioned as a water pressure regulator ensuring the railway station’s operation. Made of red brick, the tower is a well-preserved example of late 19th-century industrial architecture.

Its proportions and masonry reflect the characteristic style of that period. Today, the Potash water tower is included in the list of newly discovered architectural monuments of the Cherkasy region and is protected by the state. A court decision has obliged the local utility company to sign a preservation agreement with the Department of Culture and Cultural Heritage Protection to ensure its proper maintenance.
