About Holy Trinity Church

The Holy Trinity Church in the village of Mliiv, Cherkasy region, was built in 1858 by the Symerenko family as a family burial church. Consecrated in honor of the Holy Trinity, it currently belongs to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Next to the church is the family cemetery, where members of the Symerenko, Yakhnenko, and Khropal families are buried.

During the Soviet era, the church was converted into a club, and the family cemetery was partially destroyed. Thanks to the efforts of descendants and the local community, the church was restored in 2008, and the Symerenko family museum was opened to visitors.
