Sobornyi Park in Cherkasy is one of the oldest and most atmospheric city parks, located in the very heart of the city on Nadpilna Street. Covering over 8 hectares, it is a popular place for walks, leisure, and spiritual solitude. At the center of the park rises St. Michael’s Cathedral — one of the most majestic religious buildings in Cherkasy. Sobornyi Park has a rich history. In the 20th century, the site was home to a cemetery and the Assumption Church. Later, the area was transformed into a recreational zone known as May Day Park. In 2024, it received its current name — Sobornyi Park. Today, the park attracts visitors with its cozy alleys, greenery, and peaceful atmosphere.
