The Oak of Maksym Zaliznyak is a centuries-old tree located in the „Kholodny Yar“ nature reserve, one of the most famous historical and natural landmarks of the Cherkasy region. This tree has become a symbol of strength and endurance, closely associated with the legendary leader of the Haidamaka movement, Maksym Zaliznyak.

The oak stands in an area where Zaliznyak’s forces once gathered before military campaigns in the 18th century. The tree is over 800 years old, with a trunk circumference exceeding 3 meters.
