About „Shaieva Hill“
„Shaieva Hill“ is a protected area in the Cherkasy District, known for its hilly terrain, steppe vegetation, and rare species of flora and fauna listed in the Red Book of Ukraine. Archaeological research has uncovered Scythian-era burials, ancient tools, and remains of a Slavic sanctuary.
Often called the „Little Athos“, the site holds spiritual significance with the presence of the Spring of Saint Panteleimon and the Cross of the Protection of the Holy Virgin. The spring water flows through layers of white and blue clay and is considered healing.
