The Art Museum, established in 1991, is a significant cultural center of the city. It is one of the youngest regional art museums in Ukraine. The Cherkasy Art Museum consists of two main sections: – Fine Arts, Decorative and Applied Arts.

The first section presents samples of folk art from the Middle Dnipro region, while the second showcases works by professional artists. Additionally, four halls on the third floor, with a total exhibition area of 500 m², are regularly used for temporary exhibitions.
